Dillon

Mace Nelson

Born in a tiny town in Northeast Georgia, Dillon spent his childhood creating secret worlds, imagining characters, and using his creativity to connect to the world around him.

Based in Los Angeles, Dillon is a collaborative artist, designer, and
multi-hyphenate creative who centers story in all of his work.

With over 15 years working in film, design, education, and museums,
Dillon has acquired a wide range of skills that help him soar as a
visual storyteller, director, designer, and performer. Dillon is an Ovation Award winner for Set Design and Ovation Honors recipient for Puppet Design.

Dillon is also the Associate Director of Noah’s Ark and Family Programming at the Skirball Cultural Center, bringing joy and learning through art and culture - including puppetry!

Lately, he has been excited to make a return to puppetry and loves creating immersive and interactive experiences. Look for him as a performer at Dragon Con 2026 and at the National Puppetry Slam in Atlanta, Georgia!
